Providing assistance to obtain services, housing or care that is necessary for maintaining independence for people over 50 years old who live in the municipalities of Maribyrnong and Brimbank.

 

How can ACHA help you?

If you are 50 years or older, homeless or at risk of homelessness ACHA can help you obtain the services, housing or care that is necessary for you to maintain your independence.

ACHA can advocate on your behalf with other services, agencies and government departments. The assistance offered is of a practical nature and tailored to meet your individual needs and circumstances.
The ACHA worker can meet with you in a location convenient to you.

 

What sort of help would this be?

• Applications for public housing
• Explore housing options
• Advocacy and support with linking into services such as:


- HACC services
- Home maintenance loans
- Podiatry
- Activity programs
- Occupational therapy
- Access to aids/equipment
- Dietetics
- Physiotherapy
- Dental
- Psychiatric
- Respite

 

Eligibilty

The ACHA program may assist you if:

• You live in Sunshine, Braybrook or Maidstone
• You are renting, living with family, boarding or if you are homeless or at risk of homelessness
• You are 50 years or older
